Buying horses online at Youhorse.auction is becoming so commonplace worldwide that a tough battle began between several showjumpers on Tuesday evening, 5 October. Two were sold for 60.000 euros and one for 50.000 euros. A great motivation for auction organisers Mario Everse and Alan Waldman, but also for the sellers of the horses.

"To be honest, the high prices did not come completely out of the blue.  We had some really good horses in the auction and you can say that the prices are market conform, but... it has to work and you have to reach the right people. Besides some sales to well-known clients, there were also many new people who trust our auction and that means a lot to us", tells Mario Everse.

In total 27 horses were offered during the 15th online auction, of which four went to America and three to Mexico. There were several sales to Canada, Spain, France, England, Estonia, Finland and only one to the Netherlands. A well-known German eventing and show jumping rider came to buy again and paid 30.000 euros for the four-year-old Meerstad (Global Express x Cardento VDL), who jumps with a lot of power.

Auction toppers
Then the auction toppers. For 60.000 euros Lex (Comme il Faut x Biscayo) leaves to France. This five year old talent has not been on any official shows yet, but he will make a lot of impression in the future. To Canada for 60.000 euros goes the four-year-old Ribery (Aganix du Seigneur Z x Diamant de Semilly), who also seems to have everything for the big sport.

The 4-year old stallion Valentino van Spalbeek Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Flamenco de Semilly), half-brother to the 1.60m Grand Prix showjumping horses Seacoast Pebbles and Aristo Z, will get a new stable in Spain for 50.000 euros. Furthermore the auction clock stopped twice at 32.000 euro: the 17-year old top-class showjumping pony High Dream N who continues his career in America, and the young, impressive Toulouse van het Beeckhof Z (Toulon x Quinar Z) who was sold to Canada.
