The stage was set for a beautiful auction Friday night in Sentower Park in Oudsbergen. The sun was shining, and the crowd had gathered around the arena for the exquisite foals of the evening.
It was directly off to a strong start when the outstanding Comme Surprise Axelhoeve Z cantered into the auction ring. This son by Comilfo Plus Z, from the As Cold As Ice Z dam line, was sold under the hammer of Louise de Cleene for 20.0000 euro to Germany, directly followed by the striking Castillon van WW Z, this son of Cumano out of the Kashmir van Schuttershof daughter Imke van’t Roosakker sold for 30.000 euro to Poland.
The highlight of the evening was the striking Chacco Blue daughter Chacline JT Z, who is bred out of a sister to Hardrock Z by Johan Thijs in Oudsbergen, Belgium. Bids hammered in from all corners of the world and the hammer fell at 56.000 euro, and she can prepare for a great future with a German top rider.
As usual, the Zangersheide auction foals found new homes all over the world, and Chaloubet P-Z can start packing, as he is headed to Guatemala for 38.000 euro, Caixa vd Berghoeve Z, daughter of Comme Il Faut out of sister to Aganix du Seigneur Z, sold to a Greek breeder for 26.000 euro. Heron’s Music T40 Z sold for 28.000 euro to Netherland.
