The Youhorse.auction horses are spreading around the globe like an oil slick. While hundreds of horses have already been sold worldwide, the sales on Tuesday evening, 5 April to Zimbabwe, Greece and Croatia are new. The Easter collection of young and ridden show jumpers was sold in no time. The two most expensive ones with 45,000 euro were the 6-year-old mare Donna Summer (Dominator Z x Ustinov), who will be given a stable in Hungary, and Thurbo van 't Palmenhof (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Feinschnit I), who was sold to Italy.
"Alan Waldman and Mario Everse are positive after the show. "It was a successful evening, all horses were sold except one or two. We welcomed a lot of new customers, even from new countries, but we also had some regular customers. They are satisfied with their previous purchases and will come back for some new ones."
Confidence among breeders
Mario Everse notes that the average quality of the show jumpers has risen sharply. "In the beginning we entered a lot of our own horses. Later on other people could enter their horses. Sometimes we had some bottom horses. We hardly have that any more. Now that we have such good auctions with a very high sales percentage, you also see a lot of confidence among buyers. We are now getting really good horses and they fetch good prices. That is great!"
Sales
On Tuesday the 21st collection was auctioned. Two Dominator horses went to two different customers in Hungary: Donna Summer (45,000 euros) and Dollar Z (by Contendro I), which was sold for 16,000 euros. Italy came out on top with four purchases. Besides Thurbo (45,000 euro) the four-year-old Uta Bronco (Untouchable x Ramiro Z) brought in a good price (38,500 euro).
Eight showjumping horses will leave for America, such as Dapper WB Z (Denzel van 't Meulenhof x Lux Z) and Chabalito (Chacfly x Marquise) for 36,000 euro, and Celine DB Z (Cosun x Utrillo Z) for 30,000 euro. Mowgli C (Hermantico x Charisma) went to England for 38,000 euro, Keronique DN (Harley VDL x Mr.Blue) for 33,000 euro and Malibu R.A.G. (Bubalu VDL x Corland) for 32,000 euro. A Danish stable purchased Mister President (Harley VDL x Emerald) for 36,000 euro. Only four young auction horses did not reach the 10.000 euro mark.
May auction
There is not much time to think about the 'Easter auction', because a new collection is already being put together for the next auction from 30 April to 5 May.
