Is Youhorse.auction going to be the first chapter of a new spectacular story about a Mexican rider who has a horse that the entire equestrian top would soon want? It will take a few years before we find out if Summer Song du Champ du Bois will follow in the footsteps of her famous sire Presley Boy, but at least she will receive the same training at the stables of Jaime Azcarraga. He bought the four-year-old mare on Tuesday, January 4th, for 60.000 euros through Hank Melse, who also sold Presley Boy to him at the time.
Black pearl Presley Boy achieved a great deal of success with Jaime Azcarra, who sold him to the equestrian federation of Saudi Arabia in 2010. He also continued to perform great with Olympic rider Khaled Al Eid. The Concorde son became a real crowd pleaser and, among other things, finished twelfth individually at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. The special thing about daughter Summer Song is that her mother Tess Briolita (Kalypso) also jumped 1.60m courses, ridden by Ramzy al Duhami.
Selling to 16 countries
"It's a really great mare," agrees Mario Everse, who ran the online auction for the 18th time from January 1 to 4 with Alan Waldman. "We started the year well. We had a good collection, good prices and a high sales percentage with clients from sixteen different countries. The aim is to continue having an auction every month, the next one is our 'Valentine's auction', a week before Valentine's Day, for those who still have to think of a present for their loved one," jokes Mario Everse.
For the first time, most sales were registered within the Netherlands (5), followed by Canada (4), America (3), Hungary (3) and two horses each to Poland, Italy, Germany and Belgium.
The five-year-old Mabel van de Renger (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Amadeus) gets a new stable in Poland for 55.000 euro. For 40.000 euro the five-year-old Valentino van Spalbeek Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Flamenco de Semilly) leaves for Hungary. The equally old Roxano de Muze (Elvis ter Putte x Heartbreaker) goes to Monaco for 36.000 euro. The seven-year-old Kenji (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Cantos) continues his career in America for 30.000 euros. The cheapest horse in the auction was sold for 5.000 euros and moves to Italy.
Registration is possible again
The next Youhorse.auction runs from February 5 to 8. Registering quality young jumpers and ridden horses is possible via the website. The selection and photo/video day is scheduled for Monday, January 17.
