EEMNES - The fifth edition of The Youngsters Auction will be remembered as a great success. The sporthorse auction, organised by de Waaij Stud in Eemnes, sold 16 show jumpers to national and international buyers. The most popular lot, Piamanta (by Diamant de Semilly x Hakim Ourai), was sold for 190,000 euro. The average price was calculated at 88,313 euros.

The live edition of the auction in 2021 could not take place last minute due to corona measures. The organisation was therefore extra keen this year not only to offer a top collection for auction, but also to provide visitors and viewers with a wonderful evening. Both missions succeeded, with some buyers even buying several horses.

Auction toppers
Two mares that will continue their jumping careers in Switzerland brought the most money. Piamanta (by Diamant de Semilly) was sold for 190,000 euros and Melien (by Grandorado TN) for 155,000 euros.

Top duo for Colombia
The second most expensive horse, Pira de Rêve (by Bamako de Muze), became property of Colombian buyers for 110,000 euro. They also bought cat. nr. 12, Lontender (by Up to Date). In total more than half of the auctioned horses will leave for abroad.

Good Cause
The organisation looks back on a successful auction, of which a part of the proceeds will be donated to charity. The auction opened with the sale of two paintings that were auctioned for the benefit of Pax Kinderhulp in Eemnes. The Van der Maat family and Ashford Farm donated the works of art, the funds of which will be used to support refugee children.
