Münster: In the last Westphalian Youngster Auction this spring, 17 young show jumpers of the vintage 2019 were up for sale. The number 1 Classical Touch was the most popular offer. The daughter of Classico TN changed to American ownership for 28,000 Euros. On average, international customers invested 14,692 Euros in their future show jumper.
The international bidding duel for the head number 1 was exciting, with 14 parties participating with 33 bids. In the end, customers from Hungary and the USA fought for the Classico TN/Quality Time daughter (breeder and exhibitor: S.R. Holtwiesche GbR, Gescher). Classical Touch is a top offer for the big jumping courses of the world. The grey mare's dam is a half-sister to five licensed stallions. Customers from the USA had the most staying power this evening, winning the bid for 28,000 Euros after a 20-minute BidUp.
Another young mare cracked the 20,000 Euro mark. With the head number 13, Only Love B (breeder: J.G. Broomkamp, Netherlands; exhibitor: BG Zurich/Theele, Schüttorf) was for sale in the second part of the online auction. The daughter of Emerald van het Ruytershof/Lord Z is a half-sister to three internationally successful show jumpers. She will start her career abroad. At the hammer price of 24,000 Euros, customers from the USA once again had the most staying power.
All in all, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch was able to successfully sell 13 of the offered show jumpers this evening. The customers invested an average of 14,692 Euros in the young horses. Five of the youngsters sold will start their journey to four different countries outside of Germany. With this auction, 87 unridden youngsters have already been successfully marketed via the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch in 2022.
For spring 2022, this was the last youngster auction in Westphalia. Unbroken young horses of the vintage 2020 will next be up for sale in Münster-Handorf in September. There is no break for the Westphalian auction team however. Already this afternoon, the 60 riding horses of the Westphalian Spring Auction have moved into their boxes at the Westphalian Horse Centre. Trying out and viewing of the auction candidates for dressage and jumping is possible at any time after consultation with the auction team. On Friday, April 1, there will be a public presentation of the dressage horses under the direction of Christoph Hess starting at 2 pm. The training will be broadcasted live on ClipMyHorse.TV.
